Penn Presbyterian – Level 1 Trauma Center

Penn Presbyterian is a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center in Philadelphia, PA. Penn has been an accredited trauma center since 1987 and is recognized as a leader in trauma care both nationally and internationally. Penn serves 11 counties in PA as well as NJ and Delaware. According to the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation, Penn also has a “widely recognized academic program, based on clinical excellence, scientific contributions, and fellowship training. Through their international programs, they continue to educate professionals from around the world including Europe, Asia, and South America. Their faculty have a strong link to the US and NATO Military Medical programs. Of over 100 surgeons completing the fellowship, 20 have been military surgeons, who after training have been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. Finally, their injury prevention programs are focused on the needs of their community and include the Injury Center at Penn and the Penn Interdisciplinary Center for Injury Science (PICIS).”
